The high price of real estate in Manhattan is a big plus for the rest of the city.

the Bronx, Brooklyn,
Queens or Staten Island.
"If you want to move from Manhattan, there is a laundry list of economic incentive programs that will help fortify your business," said Bill Wilkins of the Local Development Corp. of East New York. "These incentives help keep businesses from leaving the city and make the outer boroughs competitive."
Your Money spoke to four business owners who once called Manhattan home but now thrive in the other boroughs.
Bimmy's: Long Island City, Queens
Since Elliot Fread's customers are in Queens, Newark and Philadelphia, he decided there was no reason to keep his food preparation business in Manhattan.
Bimmy's makes sandwiches and salads for food courts at LaGuardia, Kennedy, Newark and Philadelphia airports, as well as delis and shops.
